They met my needs for looks and price, but I had to add my own insoles as the ones that come with the kit are too thin to cover the uncomfortable/uneven surface underneath.

If I paid more than a dozen dollars for these shoes, the extra insoles would bring the overall cost into the range of more comfortable shoes, making them no longer worthwhile.
