Review on Adjustable Temperature Controlled Desoldering MotyGarlo by Greg Roberts
The tip didn't stay hot enough to solder the components to the board.
While the iron was hot enough to melt the solder off the components, the component leads were removing enough heat from the tip to prevent them from working. I returned it for a soldering station that holds the temperature. at the end of the business (or just before). Works much better!
