Refill does not clog, other users seem to have foam and sludge from the main tank and needs to be pumped out before this happens. This is good for filtering out debris floating in the water. I hose it down about every three months and it cleans up easily. I put a short aluminum tube in the hole provided and a couple of screws to hold it in place, pop open the gas cap and lift it up slightly to inspect and clean. But it's not a replacement for pumping up your tank. The photos show my secondary tank ventilation system, my leach field is no longer overgrown with tall grass.
