I bought this because my fridge doesn't have a built in ice maker. These trays are very easy to fill and stack when empty or filled with water. I have other silicone ice trays but none of them have silicone lids to keep the contents in place. I found this a useful feature. I fill a tray, put a lid on it, fill another tray, pop another lid, fill the last tray, pop the lid and toss them in the freezer without a second thought. In just a few hours I have three bowls of ice cream. The shell is easy to bend to break the ice and the ice is easy to slide out of the bottom. I haven't noticed a single problem with any of these tablets. It just works. I'm not worried about ice as I have three ice cube trays that take up very little space in the freezer when folded. However, I have considered buying more trays, I hardly find it unnecessary. My wife can persuade me to buy more to make iced coffee for quick and easy iced coffee. I would recommend them to anyone looking for ice cube trays. The ice produced is a good size. The bowls are of good quality. Lids are a great extra to prevent spills during transit from the sink to the freezer. They go well together. They produce a large amount of ice cream while taking up very little space in the freezer. Very happy with this purchase.
