Review on 🔊 Actopus Car Audio Speaker Phase Meter Polarity Tester PH Phasemeter for Enhanced SEO by Calvin Reynolds

Worked great but file was missing from CD

I bought this after installing new front speakers in my daughter's car. I could tell one was hooked up out of phase but wasn't sure which one as I had used the VOM to confirm positive and negative for the amplified signal and I trusted that the speaker was labeled correctly. I had no intention of swapping the wires for fear that if I swapped the wires on the wrong side the front wires would be in phase and the back wires out of phase. Yes, I was able to open both door panels and pull out both speakers for testing. Your polarity is with a 9V battery, but why go to all that trouble? I got the tester (requires a 9V battery), put in the CD and started testing. Tracks 1 and 2 were left/right white noise, tracks 3 and 4 were supposed to be in phase/out of phase but on the CD I received both files were in phase. Tip: You should increase the volume to a moderate level so that the tester's microphone picks up the "ticking". This will not damage the speaker. In any case, I was able to confirm which speaker was out of phase by checking all four. Properly phased speakers will flash 3 green and 1 red blinks on the tester when tested with an in-phase file. A sequence of 1 green and 3 red would indicate an out of phase speaker. Only one was out of phase. I removed the door panel, swapped the cables and checked again. Corrected! The sound quality has greatly improved! I should point out that the speaker was mislabeled and was not a cheap speaker.
