I'm mostly a sandal lover, but if you're going to be walking long distances then you need shoes. I'm planning on going to Disneyland, which means about 20,000 steps a day, sandals won't help. I received them a few weeks before we left to make sure they were broken in and comfortable. There's nothing worse than sore feet when you have no choice but to walk. They're nice and light, but strong enough not to fall apart. They're stylish enough not to be a problem. And they don't have any tight or chafing spots. The only problem is that while I'm glad I'm the size I am, they are a bit narrow and my toes have some room, I couldn't go with a size smaller or they would be too tight. I tend to have slightly wide feet, if so round up your size.
