first of all i LOVE this product and its idea. I use it with my salt wheels in cockatiel aviary to discourage parent birds from plucking their chicks (this happens sometimes). And this works great as it discourages the birds from plucking the chicks and keeps the salt wheel suspended in the box instead of lying on the bottom of the nest. the end of the spit. After a while it will come off and the disk and heavy salt grinder will fall off the spit completely. I'm afraid it will eventually happen to the chick underneath and fall on top of the chick. This only happened with ONE skewer and not all of them so I'll keep using to make sure it's just a faulty screw. This hasn't stopped and won't stop me from buying more of this item as a zip tie or even a small rubber band attached to the skewer under the screw will hold it in place, easily solving my problem . I recommend this product!
