I've been using them in my camper for many years with no problems and now that I'm giving my camper to my son I've been trying to figure out how to remove the minerals from the city wash water for my cars. . I am not sure if they will remove all minerals but I am sure they will go a long way in improving mineral stains after the water has dried on my car and truck. Building a separate filter station would be an expensive method and may not work any better than these cartridges. It has rained off and on since I got them but the weather will clear up later this week and should tell a story as to whether or not they will work for my purpose.
