Review on 🍳 Oster Derrick 7-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set: Quality Design with Tempered Glass Lids by Emily Baker

Rust starts after 4 months

Was very pleased at first when they arrived. They are very pretty and I like the round shape. Use has been somewhat disappointing due to the white spots that appear after use, even with the recommended vinegar cleaning. But friends say they have the same problem with stainless steel. (This is not 100% stainless steel, but there is another non-food contact metal inside). They make a loud crackling noise throughout the cooking process. I'm sure it has something to do with contraction/expansion due to heat, but it's loud and hard to ignore. I don't often cook on the stove, so today I grabbed a large pot to make soup after using it for a couple of weeks. I was horrified to see a white film on the inside and a few tiny spots of rust. At the moment there is no film or rust on the pan and pans. Well you get what you pay for. I just thought they would be better quality with the Easter name. Today I'm tossing out the Dutch Oven and buying a bunch of All Clad pans, piece by piece if need be. PS It seems that these glass lids make a loud cracking sound during use. Note to self: no more dishes with glass lids.

Pros

Cons
