I've been using Magic in a blue tin for almost 50 years. I couldn't use shaving gel or cream and razors because they always bumped my neck. Once I got over the smell similar to rotten eggs when mixed with hot water, it was clean shavings. Now that I'm retired, I don't have to shave every few days. I wait two to three weeks until I have enough thick growth. This allows the paste to shave evenly and not flake off. I use a dull butter knife as a razor.
