Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ BTECH 2 Pin (K1 Connector) to 3.5MM Adapter with Push-to-Talk Button: Easily Connect 2 Pin BaoFeng, Kenwood, BTECH Radios to 3.5mm Headsets with in-line Mics by Richard Cuneo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The impulse for the conversation is not the microphone.

It says right there in the description, but I, like many others, was wrong about how it works. In the photos they show what looks like regular in-ear headphones. But actually they have a built-in microphone. Many, like me, assume that you can talk using the PTT button; generated a lot of 1 star reviews because people think their reviews didn't work. I know it says it in the description but with all the 1 star reviews I would find a way to make it much clearer in the description. Anyway, now that I know how it works, I've changed my rating from 1 star to 3. One star deducted because of the actual quality. I think the wire needs to be stronger, it's very thin, and if you have to wear yours every day like I do, I have a feeling it won't hold up. And one more thing for the description not being clear enough for people. I would like the PTT talk button to include a microphone, which would be useful for many people. 2nd version if you want. In my situation I wanted to get rid of all the wires running down my back. I used a bluetooth transmitter for bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately, Bluetooth transmitters do not transmit speech, so we need a separate microphone.
