Simple and works. - External components
Make sure that the strip is placed at the back and not in the middle, otherwise the graphics card screws will be about 3 mm apart. Pretty simple design. But it works well and reliably. A minor annoyance is that there isn't a good spot to install external fans. Note that this only works with a maximum of 4 cards to allow enough space between them for ventilation. I made a template with 2 screws + 3 spare slots in between which works fine for the optimal card temperature.
