Do not buy this filter! This restricts the oil flow and the pressure becomes too high!

Okay, I need to talk about this oil filter. I saw the reviews on it before I bought it! I have an L5P Duramax and need extra protection for the lubrication system. I currently have 100,000 on the truck and am using a Rotella T6 5w-40 in the engine. I received the filter and the first thing that struck me was the installation instructions on the outside of the box to really tighten the filter enough to actually push the o-ring against the housing and filter. My first thought was that many people make the mistake of rotating the filter 1/4-3/4 turn. I changed the oil with PPE filter yesterday and followed the instructions. When I started the engine I noticed that the oil pressure had risen to almost 120psi. FILTER AC DELCO I had 40 psi at startup! Some might find this cool, but what actually happens is the oil pump bypass valve for the filter opening and closing. I actually heard it in the engine. I drove the truck 100 miles yesterday and this morning I crawled under the truck and found that the filter o-ring was leaking oil! Could you squeeze the filter harder? The 5 micron filter is limiting and can damage the engine over time. I removed this POS from my truck and replaced it with a new AC Delco filter. The pressure is back to normal and the clicking sounds you could hear with the PSA filter on are gone! Don't waste your money on this filter!
