Love the product - wish I could find more “How to use” the buttons info

InstaPot Duo Plus 9-in-1I have been sitting on this amazing product for about a year - purchased it exclusively because it had a Pressure Canning feature. I finally plugged it in to try it. Made yogurt but I literally had to call the toll-free line because the instructions that came with the product were unclear. An Eastern Indian guy patiently walked me through successfully. Next on to pressure canning. I found an obscure YouTube video where someone just happened to show using their InstaPot.I am still not sure why they said I needed to punch in "keep warm” but succeeded in my first batches of butternut squash and green beans. The product I purchased ONLY cans pint jars - good thing I didn’t make quarts! LOLBUT - the appliance itself is WONDERFUL. The user manual sucks. And, no one else seems to be making YouTube videos of how to use this wonderful appliance (I see dozens of the competition). I want to try each button option - and all I can find are recipe books. So - Mr. Wong (inventor), please get more how-to videos loaded on how to use each function button (and why) and improve the user manual (or even a more advanced and detailed one on a website?).Otherwise, I love the product, its capabilities, and wish I had bought the one that could do quart-size jars!Edited/Added On Review info:InstaPot - 8 Quart - ProFor some reason, revain keeps taking me back to the smaller InstaPot review that I had posted, but I also wanted to review the larger InstaPot that I purchased and receive this week.I do a LOT of canning, but unfortunately, the 6-quart InstaPot ONLY has room in the interior bucket for four pint jars. I figured - hey, the larger 8-quart Insta-Pot may have room inside their interior bucket for quart jars (height-wise). As soon as I picked up the larger 8-quart InstaPot, I pulled out come quart jars (narrow mouths) to check the capacity. YES - the larger 8-quart Insta-Pot can cook quart jars - BUT - only three at a time. The reason is the mechanisms for the steam vent are in the way for allowing a fourth quart-jar to be placed in the pot.ANYHOO - I am not that disappointed - the larger 8-quart Insta-Pot will still allow me to cook (pressure steam canning) at least three quart jars and at least five pint jars in one setting. Using my 6-quart InstaPot for canning with the larger 8-quart Insta-Pot for canning will enable me to process at least 9 pint jars at once, cutting down my time in the kitchen and waiting for the steam to cool down.I LOVE LOVE LOVE the electrical processor doing all the guess work and processing for me. I just punch a few buttons and walk away and come back later to empty the interior bucket and start again (when canning).

Pros
  • Yes
Cons
  • The sous vide function might not maintain a consistent temperature throughout the cooking process
