Review on Amprobe PM55A Multimeter Non Contact Detection by Issac Burnett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Accurate volts, pocket sized, rugged

Pros: Accurate to within 1% of my B&K at constant voltage, easy to read display, easy to use, solid body and construction, threaded brass insert and captive body screw ( wow !), turns on quickly enough and switches automatically. Cons: small battery. Pros: Tiny battery makes it small. Disadvantages: No current measurement. pro: no current measure to make it unsafe to do something stupid. Cons: no rubberized lid. pro: that makes it smaller. Cons: Simple fixed cables. Pros: you can't lose. Cons: Comes with a 90-day warranty, not a lifetime guarantee. pro: it actually comes with a replacement guarantee. Against: Frequency for 20 volts or less, peak to peak. pro: This is normal for most digital content. Hey, this is a pocket meter, not a bench meter, not a Fluke 87V, not a megger. It's an exceptionally small, fairly safe, rugged, fairly accurate, inexpensive, easy to use digital meter for voltage, resistance, continuity, diode and capacitance. This is fine if you're using UTRTFTJ (use the right tool for the job). A fabric carrying case for this gauge is available separately. The case is too big for a shirt pocket, but it can offer some protection in a tool box. Amprobe VC3A PM POCKET SERIES
