Labeled as 'wrought iron' which is not true. The wrought iron body is just lightweight plastic covered in metallic paint. The only thing made of metal is the wax bowl. The heating pad came with 4 cubes of lavender wax which are of poor quality. Very flexible and has no throw even after burning for more than 1 hour. You can smell it a little when you're right over the melted wax, so I threw it away. However, the heater works well with other waxes I've had. I like that it came with 2 extra bulbs. That aside, I feel like I overpaid $22.99 with a $2 coupon for it. Otherwise the benefit is that it (hopefully) doesn't break as easily (not sure how strong the plastic is) as a ceramic heater if dropped like my other one did. I really wish it was wrought iron as advertised for durability.
