This stone from yesteryear was in my arsenal to sharpen. You could always count on him to bring back worn blades and sharpen them to a razor sharp edge. Then, unfortunately, it was thrown off the workbench and shattered into two jagged, barely usable pieces. However, I then used it, but was not satisfied. I was then browsing through Revain looking for a solution to sharpen turning points when BOOM! My broken Norton brick, shiny and new, and a great Revain prize. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition and now all my (many) knives are terribly sharp again. And yes. It was flat and lightly oiled out of the box.
