They do their job well. However, I have a few complaints. First, driving in is quite noisy, with loose metal rattling and banging on the door. It's not scary, but loud enough that it could be a problem if needed in a quiet area or around sleeping kids. Second, after about two months, the contact points where the arm and holding foot touch each other began to wear out, causing the retraction to not work properly. The leg barely rose, it wasn't enough for the spring to take over and pull it up. I was able to solve this problem simply by applying WD40 to these spots. It's okay, just be prepared to smear it from time to time. It was also easy to assemble and serves its purpose. Only time will really tell when it comes to durability. TO UPDATE. 4 months later the second of the two I had installed started to bind and wouldn't retract properly. A drop of WD40 on the contact also solved the problem. The former is still strong after being oiled once and used hundreds of times. These are great things for the money. I have no idea how many people are having trouble with this, maybe a user/setup error?
