I ordered this Hawk because it had a pretty good price and reviews. When I received it it was smaller than I expected and when I measured the item it didn't quite match the measurements on the website. The blade edge is 3.25 inches, which is half an inch shorter than the description. So I decided to order another one and of course the new Goshawk has a larger ax head with the right dimensions. Also there is some difference in steel gauge. The smaller Goshawk has thicker steel around the eye and on the ax head itself. The larger falcon also had a handle that appeared to be made of bamboo. Whatever it is, it lacks the natural wood texture that I have on another Falcon that you can see in the product photos. I'm not giving a 1 star rating for quality - both hawks seem good on their own - I'm giving 1 star for consistency Hawks doesn't list any products on any of their sites. I don't want sk to return the old hawk as it is in use now and I had problems with returns before. Anyway, I was planning on buying a second one at some point and it's just not worth the time and effort. Just know what you can get.
