Review on MOOG RK620265 Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly for Steering & Suspension by Ken Beasom

This product would be great if the ball joint was lubricated

This product would be great if the ball joint was lubricated. I love that I don't have to press new bushings into the old rusty wishbone and it fits perfectly, but when I had to work on the ball joint it didn't need greasing. I've tried tightening the fittings on my air grease gun, I've tried jacking the control lever up and down, I've tried turning the steering wheel left and right a few times, and I've had two different Zerk Tried connectors, both worked when removed. I waited a few weeks after installing it hoping it would take root, but it didn't. I contacted a Moog representative and he had no explanation for me. His suggestion was to return the control lever to the seller, which I would not like to do as it was installed and it is very difficult to compress the spring. I ended up squirting some lube into the boot with a needle, but now it's pushing out of the hole in little spurts.

Pros
  • Precision machined bushings for quiet operation and resistance to wear, salt, road grime and oils
Cons
  • Tape
