My biggest plus for this product is that it's a good bag to keep all my ideas and hooks, but I feel like I've used most of the contents over the years will replace time. A ruler works well as a ruler but I would suggest investing in something else to measure the thickness of your hooks or needles, the markings are very fuzzy. The hooks themselves do not fit the corresponding slots in all the gauges I have so please include the size of each color as they may come to you already half worn. However, they are elegant and easy to use. The row counter is useless for more than 9 rows as one side is upside down so good luck if you know whether your row is 86 or 98. Some stitch markers can get stuck on your yarn, but they are very useful. A pair of scissors works well with 4 worsted, but gets in the way with 6 super bulky. Needle cases aren't worth the space they take up in your bag. I tried both sizes on my US 13 needles and neither stayed.
