Everything I wanted in a headphone plus some unexpected extras

With many reviews mentioning hiss I was concerned about buying these headphones but after updating the firmware I heard no hiss or clicks in my headphones. general. Best of all, the sound is fantastic, with rich, punchy bass that I never expected from headphones and crisp highs. My first earbuds were the original Apple Airpods, which had decent sound (if you're not a fan of bass) but only took about 45 minutes to charge per use. They sound 100x better than Airpods and last 8 hours on a charge - 32 hours on a charge in the case. They get a full charge in 90 minutes, although it takes around 2 hours for the case to fully charge. Charging can be USB-C fast charging or wireless, which is very convenient. (I mostly use mine with iPhones that have wireless charging.) The app is exceptional (at least for this model), and I'm particularly impressed with the HearID feature, which measures your hearing in both ears and then adjusts the alignment in both ears . Headphones according to your individual needs. At 71, I have a slight hearing loss at certain frequencies, but the HearID feature fills in the gaps really well. What surprises me the most is the quality of the 4-mic noise-cancelling, which is surprisingly more effective than my full-size Sony or Sennheiser noise-cancelling headphones. These headphones block almost all ambient noise in a noisy office. Can't wait to try them on a flight from New York to Los Angeles next month to make sure the noise cancellation is as good as it is on a plane.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good but not great
