Review on 🔧 Maytex Twist and Shout Adjustable Tension Curtain Rod: Easy to Install, 28-48 inches, Oil Rubbed Bronze by Craig Kimball

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Why so many bad reviews?

Update October 29, 2019: Stock is still holding up great. First Rating: People who write bad reviews seem to assume it will fall off easily. It seems to hold a pretty decent weight if you follow the instructions correctly, but it's no magic. Curtains on mine weigh about 2-3 pounds so they seem to hold them up easily. Anything heavier and you'll probably need a drill. Although the installation was tricky and required multiple attempts, re-reading the instructions you will realize that you may be doing something wrong. It's kind of like how one of those bathroom curtain hangers works by applying pressure to either side of a post between two walls. So if he says you need to set it wider/partially diagonal and then slide it up and slowly decreasing the length while keeping the same pressure, you really should. This makes it really very durable. The packaging on it looked normal, nothing special. Everything was there including instructions and all the details. My only complaint is that I use blackout curtains and you can see some light seeping up, but that has more to do with the length above my curtains and where the rod was installed, which is entirely my own work. The reason I'm giving this four stars is because it's not the easiest thing in the world to install and there are many ways to get it wrong. So please listen to these instructions!
