This dual burner is a good size and takes up all the workspace in my kitchen. I used to have a burner, but I let my daughter take it when she moved. She's coming home for the holidays and hates my gas stove, so I wanted to buy her another burner. I thought double would be more convenient too. I need practice to determine the temperature to use for the press. I made the mistake of using it for my reverse side steak last night. I usually finish my steak on the stovetop over high heat and thought I could do the same on this stovetop. But my temperature was too low and I didn't sit on my steak and overcook it. So don't do it like me lol. Temperature control is the hardest part for me, I figured it out with practice and use. For the most part, I love that the burner shuts off when the pan is raised, but not when I'm trying to stir the oil in the pan with my steak. This hob is easy to clean. It arrived very well packaged. It's not heavy but a bit bulky to move around. It's a good size so storage can be an issue if you have a small kitchen like mine. My pans work with this burner but I think it might be a problem for others. All in all, this would make a great gift. It's also a great option for holiday dinners when you never run out of burners or oven space.
