This was my first experience with android radio. Having had an Android phone for the last ten years, I became very interested in this system. Almost everything on the radio is very familiar. The screen navigation and settings are very similar to those on a phone or tablet. The only thing that really let me down was the limitations they put on the Bluetooth settings. I can easily connect my phone to the device via the Bluetooth app. Bluetooth communication pretty much stops at phone pairing. The manufacturer removes the default Bluetooth settings (drop-down menu on the main screen). Because of this, I couldn't connect the OBD II adapter to the Torque installed on the head unit. I've searched the web for remote settings and only found about a dozen people having the same problem with no solution. The touchscreen is mostly responsive. I chose this device because of the 2GB of RAM, hoping for better performance. Some apps (Spotify) are quite slow. When you start your car for the first time, it takes about 30-45 seconds for the device to wake up/turn on. You can choose another launcher to customize your device as you like. However, no radio tuner app is available for launchers other than the original one. It looks like the radio app that came with the device is built into the launcher. There may be other radio applications. Installation was pretty easy. The biggest problem I had was that the width of the radio was not the "standard" width. I installed it on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and used a Metra 2DIN radio installation kit. I ended up having to increase the width of the Metra hole by a total of 4mm. It took me many patients to get the shape and finish I wanted. In general, I am very satisfied with the system. This is a big upgrade to my standard stereo. Now I have the ability to listen to music via Bluetooth and navigate through the radio. I can also make hands-free calls, which is important since Indiana is hands-free now. At this price point, if you can beat the hassle of installing it and are okay with Bluetooth's limitations, it's worth it.
