Great Product: Size/Watts/Duvet info in this review

I bought this on a whim because bitcoin was high and suddenly I got rich. Probably my favorite item I've bought in this condition. I will explain everything about this kotatsu in this review. I got free shipping through Revain and then the Japanese company that sells it said it would be delivered in about three weeks. . Then it came six days later. Looking at other reviews, this is fairly common, so we commend this company for going the extra mile. The size is about three feet by three feet and about a foot and a half tall. Of course you need about 1.50 x 1.50 m of space to set it up so that people can sit around it. There are things that you must buy along with this one. One of these is a power boost converter as this Kotatsu comes with a Japanese cable on the end and is tuned to 220hp. Here in the US we use 110. (Some people don't know). I only have a 500 watt converter. Keep in mind that you'll need both a physical and a power converter, so make sure what you get includes both. You don't need a special kotatsu blanket for this. Because I got my kotatsu table so early, before the rest of my stuff arrived, I just threw some of the blankets I already had on it. It worked fine. Maybe not pretty, but all you need is a king size quilt to work with and it can look pretty if that's what you want. Either way, you don't have to shell out $120 or anything for a kotatsu blanket. The last thing you absolutely need is either a rug or something soft to sit on. They sit right on the floor, and mine has wooden floors, so I put travel rugs underneath. The Japanese are culturally more used to it than we Americans are. Just remember. As for the actual functionality of the kotatsu, it's all in Japanese. The instructions are easy to follow with just the pictures and I put everything together in 15 minutes (they even give you a screwdriver so I didn't have to look for it). To switch the device on, there is an on/off switch on the cable. It's in Japanese, but the switch side with the number 1 engraved is the switch side (something I've been finding for almost a month, seriously, just found it while trying to write this review). Looking at other reviews, other people also miss the dial temperature control inside under the table. Finally, be careful not to fall asleep under this thing. It's not dangerous, but about seven times I sat down at my laptop, tried to do my homework, and woke up four hours later. Edit: 2 years later This has survived two moves and I still fall asleep under it. sometimes when I have more important things to do. I've replaced my camping mats with a cheap segmented mattress and it's bliss. In summer I just take off the duvet and this is my desk in my room. I also have it plugged into a smart Wi-Fi outlet so sometimes when I get home from work I remotely turn it on about ten minutes before I get home so I can just hop under it, when it's cold.
