Complex and unstable.
Directions are clear as mud and when you put them together everything will shift. We had to completely disassemble and reassemble to make everything work as it should. The balls are cheap, the ones that stick together aren't heavy enough to move the gears they should. I thought my 3 year old could help build it but it's a nightmare even for an adult. I would NOT buy this item again.
