Review on ๐Ÿ’ป DP to VGA Adapter, DisplayPort to VGA Converter Male to Female - Compatible with Lenovo, Dell, HP, ASUS Computers, Laptops, Monitors, Projectors, HDTVs - (1 Pack, Black) by Jeff Wells

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They work well at different resolutions (although sometimes they have to be adjusted manually).

I use a lot of Displayport to VGA adapters, mostly to connect old LCD monitors to new Mini PCs and graphics cards that only have Displayports (e.g. Lenovo ThinkCentre M715q). They work reasonably well, although it doesn't always seem to detect the native resolution of monitors from the start (seems to vary from monitor to monitor, although not uncommon with DP-VGA adapters) Sometimes you need to reboot your computer start or even set them manually in your display settings When done they work fine and stay where they are installed. I'm pretty happy with their performance. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is the build quality. They appear to be fairly lightweight, which is about right for the price (currently around $3.33 per adapter priced for 6 packs) when connected and then left alone (without having to constantly disconnect and reconnect cable file x ), they'll probably be fine, but I doubt they can be constantly swapped out (like computer maintenance would be). For the price, they perform reasonably well and should be suitable for casual users. On the other hand, most ordinary people will not buy these 6 right away.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Low repairability
