works well to push it in straight like you should but if you stick it in wood and twist the metal tips chip easily but to push it straight you have to squeeze it with a pencil grip. This is tough on your hand, unlike some of the more expensive ones that have a bulb grip that you can squeeze with your palm. squeezing the end with your palm hurts because it's thin
