I really like this scale and it worked well until I needed to measure spices in grams. Anything under 10 or 15 grams is very unreliable. I made a spice mix and first tried using a bowl and setting the dial to 0. No matter what I added, the scale stayed at 0. I then tried moving the bowl and finally got the reading, although it kept changing as I took the bowl off and put it back. I tried placing the ground spice on a piece of parchment paper. If I had folded it as compactly as possible I could have read it, but I didn't trust him. Finally, I used the scoop equivalent for the first three spices and it then gave me the correct reading as I added more. I think. The ounces weren't a problem. I don't know where else to use gram so I don't really care but just thought I'd put it there.
