For very light work that's fine. The problem is that the cable is not firmly fixed in the base. If you push down to remove thick scale, it will shift in the disc mount and soon enough wires will be completely detached from the mount to severely unbalance the wheel. This is also the problem of the flying debris. I understand debris flying off all the wheels, but these were consistently long lengths of solid wire, not just smaller segments.
