Awesome sound for multiple uses

I originally got this to record sound effects for a video game I'm developing. It was great for this app but grew into something more. I use it almost every day for voice notes, as a kind of diary to wander around and review my thoughts later. Many years ago I had an earlier version of this Sony voice recorder, the ICD-UX200, and it's a nice upgrade. The only downside I have to list is the menu system. It takes too much trouble for the user to decide which folder to record in when you're the type of person who records specific sounds in specific folders. Sound quality from stereo condenser mics is fantastic, sometimes too much of each "focus" and sensitivity setting to get a feel for how each one is handling incoming noise. It's all settled.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Easily maintainable
