I've wondered about the Gold Toe line of socks for years, expecting them to be higher on the calf rather than the foot. I usually buy the regular 6 packs of Gold Toe and when they stretch like that I throw them away. So I basically bought three packs of new socks to throw away. Since it was my fault and it would have cost me the return shipping and the hassle of traveling to a UPS location near my home, I said hell with it and just left them.
