They are good at what they do but clog up very quickly and are overpriced in my opinion. On the other hand, if you don't mind extra maintenance, you can just clean them many times before replacing them, but eventually they start to come loose. This clears dirt from the lower biofilter, but the filter itself quickly becomes clogged. . Once I use them I'll stop using them all together, maybe even before they run out. I don't see the added benefit because they clog so quickly you end up losing wet/dry capacity. through garbage pollution. However, it is a pain to maintain.
