The hose that came with the Stanley 6 gallon vacuum broke after a few months because it didn't have a hinge on either end. I re-taped it with tape but eventually decided to replace it as I'm renovating a house and use it daily. Found this hose and it fits perfectly! The extra 4ft of length is great (the original is only 6ft), and both ends swivel, not just one. I bought a warehouse deal and of course someone already put a bar end on the wrong end. I'm a 48 year old female and couldn't delete it (probably brought it back) so I googled and found my answer. warm it up! So I held the end under hot water for a minute and then stuck a long thin screwdriver underneath to get it going. Jumped right out! And the black 1 7/8 tab end fits perfectly. The hose is the same width as the original, so there is no loss of suction. Works perfectly! My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.
