Although this blade technically fits most knives, the locking holes are slightly off-center. This means the back of the blade is shorter than the standard blade and the front is longer. With some knives (I've collected a few over the years and have a large enough sample to test) this causes a problem or two. Most commonly, the blade is too loose in the knife and wobbles as if not locked in the knife. Secondly, some knives have a blade that is too long and cannot be fully retracted/folded into the handle. That being said, if you can fit the blade properly into your knife, I think this is the best option. I still used hook blade.
