This stainless steel bottle is only suitable for tea, coffee or water according to instructions. No carbonated or salty drinks like soup (or sports drinks I guess). Since a seal must be salt sensitive, I assume acidic drinks like soda would have the same effect. Suggestion: Choose a known manufacturer, not this one.
