. One lasted about 5 years and the sensor failed so I was able to order a new one.
This is the second one I bought - the first lasted about 5 years and the sensor fails so I was able to order a new sensor for the 5.0 from Acurite - this one came , and the gray faceplate fell off on day one - I taped it back but it was disappointing. I've used it to get the right temperature for coffee water and also to taste the chicken for doneness - works great. I would buy another.
