After using Shimano pads for years I decided to try something different. The Flash Pro pads immediately seemed like a notable improvement. Braking is quiet, powerful and easily adjustable. These pads also appear to be more resistant to aluminum splinters. The downside is they don't last as long as Shimano. I rode about 7,000 miles before getting to the attrition lines which included training, racing, rain, hard descents and whatnot. I usually get twice as far with Shimano pads. That means Flash Pro tablets cost four times as much to run. However, it's also conceivable that Flash Pro pads could make my discs more forgiving. Need a pad that lasts.
