Review on PerTronix 40001 Flame-Thrower High-Performance 40,000V 1.5Ω Ignition Coil by Bob Trapp

Like the other reviewer, I finally traced my intermittent stall/stall problem to this coil from a 1958 Ford 352 FE engine. Last year it started disappearing and stuttering when warmed up. This year it has frankly become unreliable and died several times as it would not restart until it cooled down. On one of those occasions I was able to replace the Petronix coil with an old stock coil and it fired right away and worked flawlessly. Now the Pertronix coil was five years old but had very few miles. This time I went for the Accel coil and so far so good. The time will show.
