I was able to move the crosspost to the bottom of the rack (the rack has threaded crosspost mounting holes at the top and bottom) and rotate it so that it faces the crosspost so that it protrudes from inside the bottom of the rack bay. This network rack model is very affordable and offers great value for home networking.
