Review on Natures Ocean Activ Flora Substrate Flora CORE by Alisa Romero

I took a chance ordering 5 packs for my 75 gallon aquarium although a few years ago I couldn't find any reviews other than a few on other sites. I love it; it's the perfect consistency for planting, it doesn't cloud up at all after adding water (I did NOT rinse it before) and I like the jet black color. My plants are doing well and the fish seem to like it too. However, I have to note that this is an inert substrate, so I also use root tablets and dose EI dry fertilizer into the water column. I chose this substrate over black sand for sandblasting because I needed a pure black color, has added some plant minerals and contains live bacteria to aid in the aquarium cycle. I was not disappointed and would definitely recommend this substrate!
