If you need to take a lot of different tools with you, this pack is for you. I manage the facilities and operations in a condominium complex of 1,000 residents. 23 buildings, 322 apartments, 994 beds and bathrooms. Our buildings are 4 stories so I was looking for something that would eliminate the need for traveling back and forth. I may have taken it to the extreme, but I was packed. It weighed almost 100 pounds, but I was able to find a Dewalt 20V drill, spare battery, charger, small organizer, full screwdriver set, power tools, gauges, hand tools, 2 1/4 inch socket sets, hammer, pry bars , set files and the list goes on. The only thing that wasn't working for me was my gauges, but they would have worked if I hadn't filled them with everything else. The straps are comfortable and eliminate fatigue when you have to travel a lot between work areas. The exterior is pretty sturdy and while it's not rated as waterproof, my pack has seen a lot of rain and snow and I've never had a problem with water getting in. The improvements I would like to see is the molded bottom, as I had a lot of weight it wasn't very stable and everything fell off every time I opened the bag but that's a very minor inconvenience. Even if it's just plastic a little reinforcement under the back padding would be nice if the tools move in the back compartment they will stab you. Again just a small inconvenience to better organize. After all, traveling ruined my pockets. I had to lose weight to fly, the first 3 flights were in excellent condition as were my instruments. Then the airline lost my bag, transported it across the country and FedEx it back to me. On arrival the organizer was smashed, parts torn on the outside, tools were missing, the carrying straps were torn. It looked like it had gone through a wood chipper. The bag is extremely durable but not invincible. I'm here to buy another one and thought I'd write this. If you have to carry a lot, highly recommended. The elastic pocket inside fits a laptop, I've been carrying mine for a few months, just buy a hard case for it. The picture shows everything I took out of the bag when I needed to reduce weight to fly, except for the flap. I had the bag for a year before she died and not a single stitch came undone. I reviewed this bag over the phone so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. TIP: If you receive it brand new, it will be very hard. I recommend repackaging it, zipping it up, and letting it sit for a day or two to let the fabric loosen up a bit.
