Pros: These scissors have a solid construction. The cutting blades are quite thick (compared to cheaper scissors) and really help when brute force is slicing through chicken/turkey bones. The handles don't flex as both have a full shank coming out of their respective blades. The Bad: While I appreciate the spring-loaded hinge, they push the buttons too far apart. These scissors often have to be held with two hands. At the same time, the handles are a fatal disadvantage of these scissors. All is well when they are dry. However, if they get wet (like slicing up a chicken or turkey) it can be annoying because they have ZERO grip. Since the handles do not have a closed loop, they slip out of the hand when pressure is applied. I ended up wrapping each pen in paper towels so I could make a butterfly for our Thanksgiving turkey. He did his job, but I kept grinding my teeth. FUR: These scissors are 100% designed for use with bird bones. As mentioned, the blades are thick for shredding performance, but they're not honed/sharpened to evenly cut through delicate things like paper, meat string, and even poultry skin.
