These chisels are rough, especially if you order them without a case. I ordered without one and they arrived loose in a shipping bag. Milling marks are deep and every chisel was badly cupped. I spent a considerable amount of time getting the back to the state shown, and have not even started on the bevels yet. It's gonna take some time and effort to get these working.That being said, for twenty bucks this is an outstanding set of chisels to learn to sharpen with.which I am. I would rather ruin one of these learning to sharpen than ruin a fifty dollar boutique chisel from that company in Maine.LOL.Overall a great value if your expectations are realistic. Twenty bucks is dirt cheap for sharpening school.and they should work well once that effort accomplished.
