The plastic that holds the metal pin and allows the mount to rotate vertically broke 3 (yes all 3 I bought!) in the same spot. Also the receiver end that attaches the ball of the mount to the GPS broke on all 3 mounts I have purchased meaning the GPS will not stay firmly in the mount. This is a terrible design and Garmin needs to come up with something better. I only replaced them because I'm an avid geocacher and need a way to mount my GPS when I want to cache alone. Mounting on the dashboard is useless, don't waste your time on it.
