Review on Petrainer PET616A-3 Rechargeable Waterproof Dog Training Collar - Electric Remote Collar with Beep, Vibrate, and Static Modes by Cody Nordlund

Petrainer (PET616A) 3-Dog

This e-collar system is VERY different from my previous Dogtra system in many ways! As advertised, it actually feels like it's well designed. In many ways it could be for someone who doesn't use it every day. Although definitely not for me. (And yes, I understand that Dogtra and Petrainer are two completely different companies.) Over the years of training and working with German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds and a crossbreed or two, I have had MANY different types of E-collars . Stones for a variety of uses. Since I only bought this system at the end of November, I used it almost every day and was very careful not to damage it. I had hoped for more. First, the "Shock” button on the remote is already stuck. I have to press 2-3 times for it to work. Second, one of the collar holders on the side and front broke so it cannot hold the collar/nylon part that goes around the dog's neck. Third, the "waterproof" or "waterproof" seals keep popping open, so I can't really use them and feel comfortable getting caught in the rain while playing sports or working. Fourth, the remote's LCD screen sometimes starts to go insane if the numbers are last but not least in fifth place: do yourself a favor and get biothane or plastic collars instead of nylon and 3/4 inch plastic snap collars. Easier to clean and less odor than nylon with the included tape. In my opinion, the only good thing about this system is how long everything charges and how fast everything charges, the ability to have a sound, adjust the vibration and the intensity of the shock. The sound is not loud. Shock and vibration have worked very well on this set so far. For those who use this system from time to time, it should be fine. Just not for people like me who use them almost daily for p work. I will definitely speak to the seller. I will change my mind on this system and brand when this is fixed and will post an update.
