Not for puppies/small dogs
The picture is bright, no question, but the line is impractical. If you want to make a smaller/narrower leash and collar, use jigs that fit the bill! We have a medium width Hokusai Wave collar and leash for a 2-3 month old Keeshond puppy to use and train. The actual material is softer and lighter than most similar devices, which would be fine for a small to medium sized dog, but the metal clip is huge and very heavy - it would fit our adult Great Dane but is too heavy. and ideal for any puppy or even an adult small to medium sized dog.
