Not as aggressive as I was hoping. This is on a 1999 Mazda MX-5 so obviously your mileage may vary. I had one on a 1995 Bronco and it sounded fantastic. I think you should consider the source material. It looks very nice and in theory I will never have to buy another air filter again. I have to say the quality from K&N is second to none and they fully support their products. If you are looking for an air intake with minimal fuss, great looks and functionality, 4.5 stars. If you're looking for a serious performance boost and all that entails, you might want to try a more specialized brand.
