Review on 🚀 High-Quality Grey FormFutura ApolloX ASA Filament: Superior Strength and Durability for Precision 3D Printing by Terence Dardant

Nice prints are best in AM products

Printing Voron parts with this filament on Ender 3, with all metal MicroSwiss hot end, with and without case. It prints very cleanly but is slightly cooler than recommended (230°C at nozzle, 90°C at table - 61°F/16°C ambient at 61% humidity). The prints look great. However, be very careful when downloading this thread. The winds on the barrel are terrible and the barrel spins very quickly even when the tension eases off a bit. I had to unwind about 6 feet of thread and rewind it tightly to keep it spooled while loading. EDIT: I have a 3rd reel ApolloX (2nd reel black and 1st reel red). I have since lowered the layer temperature to 85°C to reduce printing artifacts on the first three layers. I use a ventilator to shunt no more than 30%. Using a plate of PEI coated spring steel on a magnetic surface I placed on a glass plate; If the nozzle is too close to the bed when lowering the first layer, this thread will stick to the surface VERY hard and will need to be carefully scraped to separate it from the bed. Don't squeeze this thread to the same extent as with PLA. If you have a good bait height, it will stick to the plate very well and come off easily after cooling.
